What's weird about the Jurassic Dilophosaurus is that according to the first movie, the Dilo that kills Nedry isn't fully grown up yet. And despite this, the Dilophosaurus continues to return in the exact same size in every game, spinoff, and movie they appear in. In all honesty the Jp1 Novel Dilo is actually fairly accurate in scaling to the real-world Dilophosaurus.
The Nedry scene in the novel…..it tells you exactly what he did and how it felt in crippling detail. I literally got chest pains from how descriptive that was
Most brutal deaths in the novel:
- Dennis Nedry (blinded and torn open)
- The baby (its face eaten by Procompsognathus)
- Ed Regis (killed by a juvenile T.rex)
What about Wu? He was eaten ALIVE by raptors and stayed alive. Same with Hammond. He was eaten ALIVE by compies. The baby's death was fairly quick at least, there was no crying, and the juvenile T.rex, while not possessing as strong of a bite as an adult still probably was able to kill Regis relatively quickly compared to other dinosaurs. My list goes like this in brutality.
1: Dennis Nedry (Likely most painful death)
2: John Hammond (Likely longest death)
3: Doctor Wu (Eaten alive, so pretty self-explanatory)
@@supernatural.cryptic.platypus. Right, I forgot about Wu. His death was really brutal. As for the book version of Hammond, he kind of deserved it. And the baby's death, while yes as you mentioned was relatively quick, was still very dark. Nedry and Wu were at least adults. And them there's also John Arnold, who was killed by the Big One.
Dodgson and his team deaths in the second novel were brutal
@@Brokeboi314 True. But the most brutal death in the Lost World novel is that of Eddie Carr.
@@LeoKentric2017X-bx7tn yeah that one traumatized me too
I like the Carnotaurus in the novels, they are so terrifying for me... besides I can say this one line...."IT CAN CAMOUFLAGE!!"
The Dilophosaurus in the novel ended Nedry in one of the cruelest way ever. Absolutely Brilliant
"Absolutely Brilliant" Dinofax Refrence
Bro is not that man
Nedra wasn’t even that bad of a person in the novel
W reference I love that man
Bro the novel is so good it’s basically a horror novel
The movies should take more inspiration from the novels, and that’s what I think they’re trying to do with Rebirth.
What do you mean basically?
It puts most horror movies to shame
It is
Imagine if the dilophosaurus we see now thats small and high pitched is actually just a juvenile and the adult sounds like a cassowary with a low pitch sound and is as big as the novel one
Steven did the dilophosaurs dirty.
Nedry’s death in the novel is the scariest moment in the whole franchise
Yeah
no, honestly I think the river scene or the end raptor fight is scarier. Nedrys death is more unsettleling but the t,rex river scene is the scariest. How he explains the t,rex hunting them in the lagoon to the big rex chasing them through the river. Trying to grab em through the trees. (Forgot to say, but the rex was chasing the Murphys and Grant.)
The novel versions of Jurassic Park and the lost world deserve a big budget like the 2017 2019 IT movie's
I'm not going to lie when I read the novels I always felt like I was going to get killed by a dinosaur at night after reading them
Fr, kinda was paranoid a few times after reading it.😅
W video bro. This makes my Monday better 😇
Most of the Dinosaurs in the Novel actually scares me way more than the canon cenematic versions of them
THE NOVELS ARE SO GOOD YESSSS
Bro the dilpho seace made me touch my stomach 😂
The baby's death in the novel made me laugh for some reason
Same
Honestly relatable
You're not fooling anyone,lil Compy.
Video idea: strongest fictional dinosaurs in media history (hybrids not included, only animals like V.rex and Gorosaurus.)
Why the berserk horse why that devilish creature well actually fits lol😭😭😭😭😭 also amazing video as always!!!
Man, I love this guy! The dinosaur content this guy makes is AMAZING!!
Biggest crocodiles in history
muldoon in the books he was a real badass. He survived the Island and was the raptor worst nightmare. He killed one with a rocket launcher, blasted another ones leg off and accidentally killed the T rex in the water showing how he was an accurate hunter.
No, he just tranqed it
Then it was killed by the bombing
All that while he was still drunk.
@@RedSkull-hn2zi crazy
New sub here, looking forward to the new vids of most horrific dinos 👍
I will haunt you forever if you dont make a "Strongest dinosaur King dinosaurs" lol
I think Chrichton did such a good job with details. Like the first time we hear a out the river was when we meet the dilos and everytime i read that i had q sinking feeling that the dilos would come.
Hammonds death in the books was really interesting
The Jurassic Park movie deaths are like a slap on the wrist compared to the novels
The Novel put a new type of fear for everyone on Dinosaurs
You should have talked about the way the dude in the Prologue in the OG novel died. All cause of a Raptor…
I feel like they should’ve included an adult Dilophosaurus in one of the Jurassic World movies.
Did not expect to see the horse from Berserk manga here...
I still love the OG Walking with Dinosaurs theme in the background
Yooo that's a crazy image to open up a video with😭😭 if u read berserk then u know 💀
Michael critcthon was seeing things during writing novels (who is better toro or camo carno)
(He saw unspeakable,gruesome things)
My guess as to why the Dilophosaurus didn’t kill Nedry quickly was because he was flailing around, which would have made her weary.
The animation on Dennis Nedri is by far the scariest thing in the video

The only other notable examples of the movie versions being more vile than their book counterparts are Henry Wu and Lewis Dodgson.
Wu was a minor character and didn’t go anywhere near the lows he did in the movie verse.
And book Dodgson was tame in comparison to the movies. In the book his endgoal is to make the Dinos into trophies to be hunted for sport. While the movie version flat out planned to have the human race starve to death if he wasn’t given control of the world’s crops. Along with whatever Soyona and the Atrociraptor Handler have planned in Chaos Theory since he is their boss in that show. Making him responsible for what they did.
Do baryonx pls
7:48 What in the nine circles of hell am I looking at…..
The Compy Centipede
This was very interesting
If you have a gun but end up having the same misfortune as Wu in the novel then you would just shoot yourself in the head if the raptors don't stop you.
I love that you used Icthyovenator's art for the thumbnail!
Yup,dude deserves more views
Damm straight!
Nice
“Ellie and Levine” I think you meant Sarah Harding. Also, few people talk about George Baselton’s death in The Lost World.
The whole "Eating the prey before they die" thing from the book isn't actually that weird. In nature it's common for alot of predators and omnivores. Bears, lots of reptiles, African Wild Dogs just for a few examples
Nice video very cool
i like the movie versions better
The book had over powered dinosaurs that felt too strong felt unnatural. but the dinos in the movie are more normal. more simple.
Day 3 of asking for strongest triceratops in media history
Does anyone else want to see these Variants come to life? in a Tv show?
THE NOVELS TERRIFY ME
Do a strongest triceratops in Media video please
Fun fact in camp Cretaceous season 3 when Darius and yaz found the abandoned jurassic park Darius mentioned John Hammond and yaz say's that John Hammond got eaten by the Compys alive Which is confirmed that John Hammond got killed by compys
He wasn't.He died peacefully in his manor. That was probably just a rumor people made up when Hammond died.
@@RedSkull-hn2zi really?
@ArditLamaj-ef3ks Yeah really
@@RedSkull-hn2zi cool
