Second big fight of the show... let's see if they cook harder than the first time around. But first we still have Heisuke vs. Seba, and for a while there, Heisuke was holding his own, just ricochet shots after ricochet shots, and Heisuke finally used his brain and came up with a actually half decent plan, that is to spray the sprinkler on him so that Shin can see him and finally defeat him.

But yeah, back to the main fight of the show, Sakamoto vs... yeah I don't even remember bros name lmao. And you know your done for when not only is the fight happening on a train, but Sakamoto goes skinny mode as well. And this guy Sakamoto, bro threw him into the little part that connects the trains and starts going crazy on his ass, and that not it, bro then also hit him uses the hanging rails from the train to beat dude's ass, and when the bro thinks he's beaten Sakamoto, he comes back in the most aura way possible...

.... sliding the door very slowly and then beating dudes ass once and for all. Such a fun fight man lmao. Animation wasn't all too bad either imo. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't as bad as Sakamoto vs. Boiled's fight. And so, all's well that end's well.

Also, one gripe I had with the episode, they did NOT do the panel justice, like at ALL.

Lu has no reason to apologize to Shin but she still did it anyway because she's a better person than him.

Is it just me or the townspeople are so used to seeing such an incredible fight around the town?

I suspect for sometimes that the soundtrack is composed by Yuki Hayashi but I had never check, so I just check it a few seconds ago, and yes, it's really his work.

Yeah this Anime is Cooked
All my Problems with the Way its directed in the Fight Scenes are encapsulate, Lack of Motion and Elevation of the material, Fight is just 1 to 1 colored Manga Panel Impact Frames and no in betweens and Adds Nothing, A lot of Slo mo, underwhelming as heck
That one panel just wasn't done enough justice
Why is this team not good at showing a lot of the actual hitting it always cuts away from the hits and impacts and cuts to the result of that hit making the Action have a lot less weight
There were some moments where the Art style looks good but held back by the composition and cheaply animated Action
This Adaptation is finished and shows 0 promise for the future

A subway handrail bar is one of those random things you'd never think would look cool as a weapon until you actually see it.

It's really sweet how Lu couldn't help but tear up the moment she finally got to apologize to Shin, and that Heisuke (and Piisuke!) got to stay for dinner.

Heisuke may not have a great imagination, but his plan worked perfectly to defeat Seba; after all, Seba is nothing without his invisibility suit.

What an entertaining match! Sakamoto completely destroyed Kashima, and that was with only pencil mines and seals. I don't even want to imagine how scary Sakamoto would be with real weapons. I guess civilians must be used to assassins, because none of them flinched at the destruction of the fight, even with gunfire: it was hilarious.

Shin is very unlucky to run into Slur. That guy is as intimidating as Sakamoto.

Pretty fun finale to this lab arc. Sakamoto’s battle against the living weapon Kashima really went places, including Sakamoto being in a few rough patches, but man this dude really embarrassed Kashina with his use of random shit he had in his pocket that somehow got him out of every situation he was in lol, including the handrail in the subway train which he used to deflect bullets. So unfortunately for Kashima, he got trashed (literally) by the end of the fight, I appreciate the pages he took from Stroheim but it wasn’t meant to be for him.

And the fight against Seba was pretty fun too, I like that he made some unique uses of the invisible suit like hiding what he threw at Heisuke, as well as pretending he lost an arm, in the end he took the L tho thanks to the water strat, pretty sick combo attack from Heisuke and Shin there. It kinda sucks the scientists lost their lab but at least everyone got out alive, and Shin was able to reconnect with everyone from his past in the process, I’m also glad he and Lu made up but it looks like they haven’t changed much from how the episode ended, Sakamoto ain’t taking their shit either from the looks of that imaginary double kill lol.

Yea idc what anyone says about animation. This was an awesome episode and we’re getting somewhere with the big bad too. No complaints.

Everyone an immortal demon till a real immortal demon show up. Sakamoto beat the breaks off buddy 😂 I knew shit was gonna be nasty for him when he whipped out a 50 percent off sticker and pencil as his weapons. Jesus. It’s not the tools that make the man, it’s the man that makes the tools. All those shiny guns and weapons and you lose to a retired unarmed guy. I shudder to think what Sakamoto was like in his prime with a full loadout.

No idea how Sakamoto survived being thrown out the train, but I’ll take it. Better luck next time Kashina.

Sucks the researchers lost their data in the lab implosion, but at least everyone survived and we got our first look at slur. It’s crazy that his aura is so intimidating Shin just froze up instantly from a glance. I wonder what his ability will end up being.

Wholesome end to the episode with a nice Sakamoto family meal. I love these idiots so much

@natik_m_7 The animation so far has been subpar at best. I think the thing that bothers people the most about the anime is the art direction they chose for the anime. Something about the line art feels very off, as does the weird paper texture everything has. I think the biggest complaints about the anime though is how much actual detail is being lost which you can clearly see if you look at certain manga panels and those same scenes in the anime. The Slur introduction frame fails to even remotely convey the fear and danger of its equivalent manga panel. There are other examples of this where the anime has failed to portray certain moments in the manga which has resulted in certain scenes losing their purpose completely or just lacking in detail or attention: The Order introduction around the table, the changed framing in Shishiba's attack against Kashima, Boil vs Sakamoto's sitdown at the ferris wheel, etc.

I really liked the last scene where they all having lunch happily.
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

The name Tarou Sakamoto once instilled fear in every villain. No other professional hitman matched his prowess, and fellow assassins revered him. However, Sakamoto fell in love. In five short years, he married, became a father, put on some weight, and traded his weapons for an apron as he became the owner of a humble convenience store.

Although Sakamoto is decidedly retired, he finds his old life of crime hard to shake off. His former partner, Shin Asakura, reappears and resolves to stay with Sakamoto's family under their strict no-kill rule. To make matters worse, a large bounty is placed on Sakamoto's head. Numerous assassins now pursue him—but they are in for a surprise. Sakamoto has not lost his edge, and no matter what tricks his enemies pull, he will fight off every last one to protect his dear family.

The fight was very cool. LOL. Sakamoto was always ten steps ahead of the cyborg dude. All the people around the fight in that train were acting so normally. LMAO. And, Sakamoto was even making sure they don't end up in between this fight.

We also met the White Hair dude, Slur? That's what they called him. He looks very strong and is saying "Hi" to Sakamoto through Shin. Heisuke helped us as well, which is nice, and now both he and Pisuke are eating with us. Nice. Also, Shin and Lu apologized to each other.

The fight scene in this episode was great! I liked how Sakamoto used the most random objects to fight. He doesn't need any weapons. He IS the weapon!

So, this arc is now finally over. And I guess Slur is the big bad of this series. Wonder why he wants to kill Sakamoto so much.

I'm glad Lu and Shin were able to make up. Shin was able to meet the people who took care of him again. That was sweet. Wonder what the last 2 episodes are gonna be about.

@SoulReaper85 Now this is just straight up hating. This ep was 10/10. I am pretty sure you are a bot because nothing you said pertains to this episode. Just a generic hateful response. Sakamoto days has cooked from episode 1 all the way to now and yet there are some people hellbent on making the anime seem poorly animated. I personally had to go and check the panels, and it all matches. Perfectly adapted to source material. I think the hate on this anime is simply from a certain group of people trying to sway public opinion, and for what?

Oh yea... this that good shit

First episode in a while where I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It's definitely not perfect as there as still many issues I have with the compositing and certain shots but overall, this is the best episode yet (ep1 still might be my favorite tho :D)

This really is an odd adaptation. I will never call it BAD because it gets the job done and it's not as bad as it could be but its not especially GREAT either. Just doesn't elevate the source material at all, it just gets the point across fine enough...

As a manga reader, the only real solace I can find with this first season is that most anime onlys seem to really like it so that's cool at least \(-_-)/

I'm sure complaining about the animation for the 9th episode in a row is going to magically make it better /s 😂 and no, I'm not saying no one is allowed to call out the animation quality, even I acknowledge that the animation is subpar, but this now beyond beating a dead horse.

Anyway, idc what anyone says this episode was fire. One of my favorite things about Sakamoto is how he makes weapons out of the most seemingly useless items, and this episode also showed a little bit of one of the funniest aspects of this series: the nonchalant attitude of the random bystanders 💀 this mf is literally throwing people and they're just calmly being caught and placed in seats without a care in the world lol. These people do NOT care.

Animation aside, the action was great, especially when Sakamoto got thrown into the other train and used his momentum to run through it and BACK onto the first train 🔥 and that first real look at Slur was eerie af, Shin got lucky with dude just telling him to pass on a message before walking away.

@guonnie Man I swear anime fans will just eat up anything and call it a 10/10 youre delusional to think this ep was perfect all around with absolutely no downsides. Its crazy how hard people fellate whatever new popular anime comes out season to season without using any form of objective criticisms. The episode was ok maybe a 6/10 at best. Like for one second could you people stop trying to adopt every anime you even slightly like into your own personality and become unable to criticize or even have the ability to look at other opinions and understand where others are coming from? @natik_m_7 I'm hating because I'm a manga reader and the Action is just very cheap looming and 1 to 1 manga panel impact frames and not fast paces like the manga
I did not say anything about Demon Slayer but Solo Leveling is literally overshadowing it with the Animation

@guonnie this was most 6/10 Shounen Adaptation I have watched when Solo Leveling is CONSISTENTLY putting 8/10 eps EVERY week
It's beyond underwhelming for my fav manga to be getting this Animation treatment
It's 1 to 1 with the source in all of the worst ways it doesn't translate the Tone and Cinematography of the material and lacks any creativity in how certain scenes are presented and the Fight Scenes look very basic colored manga panels

Yhwach reference? That’s bizarre:)
Sakamoto managed to defeat that guy who thought he holds the supremacy. His fighting abilities weren’t good, since he was depending only of guns and not real fight.

@SoulReaper85 objectively wrong, being colored panels would be enough to make it peak because of suzuki's art so you don't even know what you're talking about. the shin slow mo cut with seba is better than anything else in the show so far.
