A quick joke piece I did at MFF. A guy came by and said Squirrels were mean, after another fellow and I spoke on how amazing squirrels are. We both agreed that, yes, squirrels are jerks and that's what we love about them. As anyone who knows me will realize, this is not an anti-squirrel image.
Also, he is definitely making an awful comment about his nuts. Also also, he has a bear belly because squirrels are happiest when they're fat.

Maybe not in YOUR part of North America, but there are red squirrels in North America. The most common is the red ground squirrel, but in the southern US, the non-ground variety is perfectly normal. The typical red squirrels usually like to draw (Eurasian Red Squirrel), with the tufted ears, aren't in America though. There's also black squirrels, which are vicious guys. Within all of these color classifications, there are multiple species living in drastically different areas, too.
Oddly, I hate his chest. Too chiseled, makes him look like a weight lifter with a beer belly. I hate muscle men. I usually go for a more typical chest, just shading the cleft and leaving the rest undefined, but on this that would have left too much white in a picture that's low detail to begin with. :P
Doubly oddly, I hate muscle men too, and liked this picture because I thought the upper chest (non-beer-belly part) looked lithe. He does have those pecs, I guess, but...uh...swimmer's build, maybe?
And with that, I suddenly realize that I have no clue what I'm talking about. Don't mind me!

don't forget that no matter where the hell a feeder is, a Flying Squirrel can always reach it to distribute the seeds therein to his Squirrel brethren....IF he feels like sharing.
Side note at the artist: I'm the one who purchased a print of this one at AC, and offered to color a digital version. May take me sometime. I got a couple other pics in front, but I'm twitching to get to this one.
